This event was held to commemorate Kaliah's 40th birthday. The gathering was held at the Richmond Marina, near her tree planted by the Guardians of Justice.  At the event the attendees were encouraged to take a rose and give it to some one who needed it, with a special hand written  message to the person of their choice. People were encouraged to post the reactions or stories on social media with the #KaliahsHeart 

February 26, 2019

A career workshop was held at Fairfield High School in the library during lunch. The career workshop was held by Jessica Williams, career consultant and two Oakland police officers. The engagement received from the students was beyond amazing and some students were even given Starbucks gift cards for their participation. JJ's Hello Foundation- Walk for Awareness, an event to raise awareness about youth mental health and suicide prevention. The event highlighted suicide prevention but also brought together many local resources for all. If you are interested in JJ's Hello Foundation please visit: www.hellofund.org

June 1, 2019

Kaliah's Heart sponsored David Michael's Taboo Gala held June 1st at the Poet's Corner in Berkeley. An event filled with art, photography, fashion, food, drinks, and more all while donating to the ongoing global battle against HIV/AIDS. Ticket sales were personal contributions to the  2019 San Francisco AIDS Walk. Kaliah's Heart attended Solano BWOPA's  (Black Women Organized for Political Action) Phenomenal Women’s Empowerment luncheon on Sunday June 30th. The event was held from 1:30-4:00 with Wanda Johnson, Oscar Grant’s mother, as the keynote speaker. The event was very powerful and the guests were very welcoming. 

July 7, 2019

On July 7th, 2019 from 2pm-4pm it is "K. Angel Day." K. Angel Day is the release of "Careers" as well as a free community event. "Careers" explores different career possibilities such an astronomer, lawyer, police officer and firefighter. This event included police, firefighters, and community leaders from around the Bay Area. Organizations present were The City of Richmond Crime Prevention, and JJ’s Hello Foundation, and Emiah’s Dancing in the Park.  Kids were able to color with crayons, chalk, pop bubbles, play baseball and even got their face painted.  

July 20, 2019

On July  20th, 2019 a youth football camp was held at Rodriguez High School. NFL players (past and present) trained, autographed, and mentored the youth who attended the event.
